I thought Sonic Outlaws was a pretty crazy film. Seemed to me like the guys who made this film didn't really care who viewed the film and didn't seem to care about the law. Some scenes that really stood out to me were:
1. When a guy listens into a cell phone conversation. He uses a frequency finder to find a cell phone frequency and listens into a cell phone conversation. I don't understand why anyone would want to do this, but apparently this guy found it fun. I also don't think it should be legal to listen into other people's conversations without their approval. There should be some sort of privacy law passes to make it illegal to do that.
2. Jamming the airwaves to screw up the radio. The guys on the film were playing small clips on the radio that the radio station had not approved. They were tapping into phone calls and saying inappropriate things and just causing nonsensical things to happen. This just showed how immature they were.
3. Playing Casey Kasem outtakes over U2 music. They did this without permission from the band and were sued over it. They thought that it was outrageous they were being sued, but you can't just use someone else's work and put an outtake track over it and call it your own creative work.
I think these guys in the film were just acting like a bunch of children, this is something my friends would have thought was funny when I was in 5th grade. Grow up!
